Trinity County Juvenile Arrested for Alleged Violent Threat Towards School

“During the evening of March 27, 2024, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a potential threat of violence to a Weaverville area school.

The threat had been in the form of a social media post, which had showed a firearm (handgun), referenced a local area school and followed up with the statement “Try me tomorrow.”

The Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect, a juvenile, and they are presently in custody.

The Sheriff’s office has been in contact with local area schools and security measures were put in place.

The investigation remains ongoing.”
