A San Mateo County woman was recently arrested for allegedly embezzling nearly $300,000 from a local tech company.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Tina M. Cabudoy, 50, of Santa Rosa, for allegedly embezzling almost $300,000 from a San Carlos technology company. The arrest followed an investigation that began in June 2023, after the company reported the embezzlement.

Cabudoy was later booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges of embezzlement and a bench warrant.

It was unclear at press time whether Cabudoy had retained an attorney.
