Arrest Made in Connection with Homicide of Patrice Armstrong Following Joint Investigation

In a joint operation, detectives from the Tulare Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division have made significant progress in the homicide investigation of Patrice Armstrong. The case took a pivotal turn on February 15, 2024, when Tulare Police Detectives apprehended Branden Howard, who was found in possession of the vehicle where Armstrong’s body was discovered. Current evidence suggests Howard’s involvement was limited to the arson of the vehicle, and he is now in custody facing arson charges.

The investigation further revealed that Armstrong had been in a romantic relationship with 70-year-old Rodney Okeith from Los Angeles. Through meticulous investigative work, detectives were able to establish Okeith’s responsibility for Armstrong’s death, which occurred within the jurisdiction of the City of Los Angeles.

On February 28, 2024, Rodney Okeith was located and arrested in the City of Visalia by detectives from the Tulare Police Department. Following his arrest, Okeith was transported to Los Angeles, where he has been booked on homicide charges.
