“Following up on burglaries dating back to 2022, Claremont detectives this week identified a suspect believed to be responsible for at least 15 burglaries in Claremont, as well as Upland and Pasadena. Through great police work, Claremont Police were able to arrest two suspects.

Claremont PD Detectives were able to identify suspect Deveon Blaylock as being involved in burglaries in northern Claremont. Information was obtained from the Upland Police as well as Pasadena Police showing Blaylock was also involved in several residential burglaries in their cities. Pasadena Detectives also confirmed Blaylock as an active gang member. Blaylock was out on bail for attempted murder, weapons charges, and two vehicle pursuits in 2 different counties.

Based on his violent criminal history, SWAT teams were requested to serve the search warrants. During the service of the warrant, Blaylock was located at the apartment in Rancho Cucamonga and taken into custody.

During the search, a stolen firearm and property believed to be stolen in the burglaries were located in the apartment. In the Fontana residence, Police found 8 firearms (2 were reported stolen) and property that was believed to be stolen. Five of the firearms were located in Deandre Scott’s room, who is the suspect’s brother. Based on the firearms located in his room, Scott was arrested for a weapons charge.
