Porterville Police Crack Down on Methamphetamine Ring; Multiple Residents Arrested

“On February 1, 2024, at 12:43 P.M., detectives from the Porterville Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the sub-100 block of South Holcomb Street in Porterville. Detectives contacted the driver, Patrick Wynn, and the front passenger, Roger Taylor. During the traffic stop detectives determined Taylor to be under the influence of a controlled substance and learned that Wynn was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver license. Both were arrested and during the search of the vehicle, fentanyl pills and approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine was located.

Detectives authored a search warrant for Wynn’s residence located in the 900 block of West Westfield Avenue. The warrant was approved by a Superior Court Judge and executed by detectives. At the residence, detectives contacted and detained the following subjects: Ken Watson, Andrea Spitzer, Shawnna Kizziar, Sarah Espinola, and Jimmy Auld. All of the subjects contacted displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and were arrested for the offense. During the search of the residence detectives located an additional 2 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Based on the evidence located, detectives arrested Ken Watson for maintaining a residence for the purposes of narcotic sales/use, possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Andrea Spitzer was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a controlled substance, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Jimmy Auld was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a controlled substance for sales, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and conspiracy. Shawnna Kizziar was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and four active warrants for her arrest. Sarah Espinola was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Patrick Wynn was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Jimmy Auld was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility where he entered the custodial facility with a bindle of methamphetamine secreted on his person. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Ken Watson was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Andrea Spitzer was booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility and being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Shawnna Kizziar, Sarah Espinola, and Roger Taylor were booked at the Tulare County South County Detention Facility as well.

The report was submitted to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office for review.
