Visalia Police Seize Half-Pound of Methamphetamine During Probation Search

VISALIA, CA – Members of the Visalia Police Department Narcotics Unit, assisted by the HOPE Unit, arrested a 59-year-old man and seized narcotics during a probation search on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.

Officers arrived at a residence in the 900 block of West Walnut Avenue to execute the search. Upon law enforcement’s arrival, Kyle Rupp, 59, attempted to flee the premises on foot while in possession of approximately half a pound of methamphetamine. Officers apprehended him nearby.

A subsequent search of the property yielded additional evidence, including items indicative of narcotics sales, U.S. currency, and a shaved key.

Rupp was taken into custody and booked into jail on charges including narcotics offenses, property-related crimes, and a probation violation.
