OAKLAND — Manual H. Primas, a 68-year-old resident of Oakland, has been getting in trouble with the law for 50 years. Primas has been convicted several times. He was arrested again last month on suspicion of committing sexual assaults.

Two women held at gunpoint were sexually assaulted at Blue Moon Spa, 320 International Boulevard in Oakland. Both employees were confronted by an armed man inside the massage parlor. The suspect entered on January 17 shortly after 3 p.m.

The terrified victims were pistol-whipped. They were ordered to remove their clothing. The intruder allegedly committed sexual battery by restraint and caused serious bodily injury. The suspect held both women captive until he fled from the premises.

Surveillance video shows the man leaving the massage parlor by car. The video enabled police to identify Primas as the suspect. He was arrested at his apartment on the following day.

Primas remains in custody at Alameda County Santa Rita Jail ineligible for release on bond. His latest charges include second-degree commercial burglary, false imprisonment by violence, assault by firearm, and sexual battery with restraint. His next court hearing is scheduled for February 23.

Primas was first convicted of second-degree commercial burglary in 1976. He has four more convictions for second-degree burglaries in 1978, 1982, 1990 and 1995. Primas was convicted for receiving stolen property in 1996 and 2004. He was convicted of second-degree robbery in 2010.

Aliases that Primas has allegedly used include Manuel Johnson, Michael Perez, Emmanuel Primas, Marvin Primas, and Milton Primas.
