Trinity County Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into Home, Attacking Resident with Hatchet

On Monday, January 22, 2024, at approximately 6:15 am, The Trinity County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a report of an assault that had just occurred at approximately 6:00 am in Weaverville, CA.

It was reported that a male subject had broken into a residence and assaulted the victim with the hatchet. The suspect was identified as Corben Wayne Page. Page was last seen in the area of Red Bud Road in Weaverville CA, and is a known transient who frequents the Weaverville and Hayfork areas.

The victim was transported to a Redding Area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. This is an ongoing investigation and as such, the victim’s name will be withheld at this time.

Law Enforcement with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office as well as California Highway Patrol were searching for the suspect and found him on Main Street in Weaverville at approximately 3:45 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024. Page was arrested without incident and taken into custody and booked into the Trinity County Jail on multiple charges.
