Hollister Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into Home, Assaulting Resident

HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – December 8th, 2023 – Today at 10:17 am, Hollister Police officers arrested Rodolfo Miramon (36 years old, Hollister), after a homeowner confronted Miramon breaking into their home.

Around that time, officers were dispatched the report of an occupied residential burglary. A caller reported to SCR-911 that a subject had broken into their home on the 1000 block of Cedar Dr. After confronting Miramon, Miramon chased and battered the victim.

The victim followed the suspect until we had units in the area.

Our officers arrived onscene and located Miramon hiding in the 900 block of Sunnyslope Rd. After attempting to detain Miramon at gunpoint, Miramon jumped a 12 foot fence onto Liberty Court. Additional officers who were in that area located Miramon hiding behind a vehicle there. Miramon was safely taken into custody without incident.

Miramon was booked at the San Benito County Jail and lodge on charges that include residential burglary, battery, and other charges. Miramon, who is on parole, is ineligible for bail after we secured a parole hold.
