Suspect Apprehended: Corona Bank Robbery Case

Corona, CA – An intense manhunt resulted in the arrest of the individual suspected of robbing the Chase Bank located at 140 West Ontario Avenue in the City of Corona on Monday, August 28th, 2023. Responding swiftly to the robbery, the Corona Police Department initiated an investigation into the incident, discovering that the suspect had handed a note to a bank teller before making his escape in a white Honda Accord, absconding with more than $3,000 in cash. The suspect was promptly identified as Muhammad Rahimi, a 35-year-old resident of Corona.

Acting swiftly and collaboratively, the Coronado Police Department apprehended Muhammad Rahimi on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, in the City of Coronado, bringing a decisive end to the criminal spree. Responding to the apprehension, Corona Police detectives took custody of Rahimi and his vehicle in Coronado, successfully recovering the stolen money. Rahimi is currently in custody at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Robert Presley Detention Center, where he is being held on $30,000 bail.
