“Today at 6:23 AM, MPD Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance in the 2100 block of N. Fremont where a subject was seen holding a firearm. Officers arrived and contacted Julio Banda and Keochan Johnson at a nearby hotel room. Officers determined Johnson had an active misdemeanor warrant for her arrest for drug possession and was on probation. Officers performed
a probation search of the hotel room and located a handgun inside.
Banda was determined to have been in possession of the handgun and he was placed under arrest for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The previous disturbance involving Banda and the firearm is still under investigation.
