“On April 4th, 2023, at 3:47 P.M., RPD Bike Team officers were patrolling the area of Hilltop Drive and Dana Drive when they stopped a black Cadillac SUV for several vehicle code violations near the area of the Mt. Shasta Mall. The occupant of the vehicle, John Wilder (52 years of Lakehead), admitted to possessing a handgun and methamphetamine inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and Bike Team officers located approximately 4 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and items that indicated sales/distribution of narcotics.

Based on the large amount of narcotics seized at the traffic stop location, Bike Team officers, NPU officers and Agents from the Shasta Inter-Agency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF) proceeded to Wilder’s residence in Lakehead, CA to conduct a search warrant service. Upon arrival, officers and Agents located Denise Johnson within close proximity to Wilder’s residence. The investigation revealed that Johnson was associated with Wilder’s residence, and she was ultimately determined to be in possession of approximately ½ pound of methamphetamine.

During a search of Wilder’s camper trailer, items typically associated with a methamphetamine conversion lab were located and rendered safe by SINTF Agents on scene. Additionally, officers
