A Monterey County man was recently arrested after police served three separate search warrants and uncovered a stash of illegal firearms.

In a press release posted to Facebook on the afternoon of February 8, Soledad Police identified 23-year-old Reynaldo Juarez as the subject of three search warrants served simultaneously in King City that morning.

The three properties targeted for search were located on the 600 block of Luckett Street, the 900 block of Broadway Street, and the 100 block of River Drive, respectively.

At one of the locations, investigators discovered an illegally manufactured gun with an added “Glock switch” that allowed it to function as a fully automatic weapon, along with a second illegally manufactured gun and parts and kits for making others, police said.

Investigators say they also found additional firearm components hidden under the leg of a 17-year-old who is bedridden with cerebral palsy, and that the firearms were not secured and were easily accessible.

Juarez was arrested and booked at the Monterey County jail on a variety of charges.

The search warrants were carried out via joint effort by multiple law enforcement agencies, including King City and Greenfield detectives, the Department of Corrections, and Homeland Security Investigations.
