“Earlier this week, the Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit and MADCAT caught up with 33-year-old Edward Carranza of Salinas and 34-year-old Christopher Verduzco of Soledad. Carranza and Verduzco are known gang members and had been on the run for quite some time as they were wanted Parolees.

Previously, Carranza had been sentenced to 12 years in prison for assault with a deadly weapon on Monterey County Sheriff’s Detectives.

Sheriff’s Detectives tracked them down to a motel in the city of Gilroy. Both were found to be in possession of loaded firearms at the time of arrest. During the investigation, Detectives also located drugs and burglary tools.

Carranza and Verduzco were both booked into the Monterey County Jail for their warrants, along with weapons and drug related charges.”
