2 Adult Males and 1 Juvenile arrested for Carjacking and Robbery

“Tuesday night, in the Walmart parking lot at Shaw Avenue and Blythe Avenue, three females were loading groceries into their vehicle when a male adult and a male juvenile armed with a handgun, approached the females, and demanded their vehicle. Northwest officers immediately began looking for the suspects and the stolen vehicle.
Approximately one hour later, a male and female were approached by three males. Two of the suspects were armed with handguns and demanded the victim’s vehicle and property. The suspects got into the victim’s vehicle and drove away but were not able to get far due to the car becoming disabled and the vehicle was abandoned. The suspects took some of the victims’ property and left the area in the original stolen vehicle. The victims called 9-1-1 and Northeast officers responded to search for the suspects.
30 minutes later, the suspects approached two males outside of a Dutch Bros. at Herndon Avenue and Palm Avenue. As the suspects drove away, the driver pointed a handgun into the air from his open driver’s window.
20 minutes later a 9-1-1 caller reported a vehicle with three male occupants doing donuts in the area of Spruce Avenue and Hayes Avenue before the vehicle collided with a tree. Based on the caller’s descriptions of the vehicle and the occupants, officers believed they were related to the earlier incidents. Officers arrived in the area quickly and detained all three males.

Arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail:
Jinathan Kelley, 20 years old, who is currently on parole for First Degree Robbery and is an active gang member.
Michael Hernandez, 19 years old.
Arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center:
Male Juvenile, 17 years old.
Two replica firearms and a privately manufactured firearm were found during the investigation.
