Marysville PD: After Arrest, Attempted Burglary Suspect Implicated in Separate Incident

A Marysville man was arrested in connection to an attempted burglary at a local gas station, and was implicated in a separate incident shortly after being booked, police said.

Police responded around 1 AM on October 6 to the Circle K gas station on B Street to investigate a report of a burglary in progress. The suspect was described as having been armed with a knife and attempting to pry open a drive-thru window, police said.

Responding officers located the suspect — identified as 34-year-old David Gradilla — about two blocks away. Upon detaining and searching him officers reportedly found an unregistered and loaded handgun in his possession, as well as suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

Gradilla was arrested and booked at the Yuba County jail on charges related to the alleged burglary attempt.

Police say that, during booking, neighboring Yuba City PD issued a BOLO alert for Gradilla in connection to an alleged assault with a deadly weapon involving a handgun. Marysville PD notified Yuba City PD of the arrest.
