Lassen County man accused of stealing bicycle arrested later that day

A Lassen County man has reportedly been arrested in connection to a series of recent incidents of alleged theft.

19-year-old Niko Robinson was identified as the primary suspect in the alleged theft of a bicycle from a residence on Pearl Circle on the morning of Friday, August 19. Officers who responded to the residence recognized Robinson from surveillance video of the theft.

A Lassen County Sheriff’s deputy caught up with Robinson later that day in the area of Ash and Bunyan, and was able to take him into custody after a short foot pursuit. Robinson reportedly had a replica handgun and paraphernalia on him during his arrest, police said.

Robinson was booked at the Lassen County Jail on suspicion of burglary. Police say he is also suspected in two other incidents — an alleged purse theft, and the alleged theft of a tip jar from a local pizza restaurant.
