Vehicle pursuit leads to felony arrest in Woodland

“At 11:12pm, an officer saw a car run a red light at E. Main St. and County Road 102.

When the officer tried to stop the car, the driver drove away and led the officer on a vehicle pursuit.

The driver ran another red light at E. Beamer St. and County Road 102.

One of the vehicle’s tires began to fall apart, but the driver did not stop.

The driver ran over a street sign on E. Beamer St. underneath the highway, which further damaged the car.

The car became disabled in the 1300 block of E. Beamer St.

The driver tried to run away from the pursuing officers, but he was apprehended.

No one sustained injuries during this incident.

The driver, a 40 year-old Woodland resident, was taken to the Yolo County Jail and was booked on felony charges.”
