“This morning around 1030 Deputies spotted 38 year old Paul JACQUEZ in Castroville who just so happens to have a felony warrant for his arrest. Unfortunately Mr. JACQUEZ spotted the Deputies and the race was on!!!!

JACQUEZ jumped several fences, ran through multiple yards, and covered several blocks before attempting to make entry into a locked residence. Upon realizing he could not get into the home he fled to a near by Chevron gas station and attempted to hide in a storage room. This proved to be a poor plan as the room had only one way in and one way out. Deputies took JACQUEZ into custody at the Chevron making them victorious in the Castroville Dash.

The only injuries in this incident were minor scratches to JACQUEZ’ legs sustained from hurtling fences while attempting to evade arrest.

JACQUEZ was booked into the Monterey County Jail for the outstanding Felony Warrant. He additionally earned the new charges of Attempted Burglary, Delay/Resist/Obstruct a Peace Officer in the performance of their duties.”
