San Bernardino County detectives seek public help in child sexual abuse investigation

“On Friday, May 27, 2022, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail, Victor Valley Station, and the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) investigated an inappropriate relationship between Paul Minjarez and four victims ranging from the age of 5-years old to 14-years-old.

During the investigation, detectives discovered Minjarez took inappropriate photos, sexually molested four victims, and raped one victim.

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Minjarez was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center, Lewd & Lascivious Act with a child under 14 years of age, Rape by force or Fear, with bail set at $500,000.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Minjarez’s booking photograph.
