“In February of 2022, the San Mateo County Vehicle Theft Task Force (VTTF) initiated an investigation into a criminal syndicate that was linked to a variety of felony crimes including vehicle theft, firearms trafficking, insurance fraud, money laundering, and criminal profiteering.

The suspects identified during this investigation played various roles within the organization to obtain illicit funds from stolen or embezzled property and establish and operate a non-profit organization to launder the illicit funds.

On May 10th, 2022, Agents from the SMCO Vehicle Theft Task Force, SMCO Narcotics Task Force, and SMCO Gang Intelligence Unit, along with numerous other state and federal law enforcement agencies, executed numerous search warrants at residences and businesses located in San Mateo and San Francisco County.

As a result of these search warrants VTTF Agents arrested 7 suspects, and the following evidence was seized – over 30 vehicles and motorcycles and over $30,000 in US Currency.”
