SCPD Takes Guns & Drugs Off City Streets

“Yesterday, SCPD officers responded to reports of a subject driving around in the city and waving a firearm from inside a Mercury sedan. With urgency, Officers located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop. Suspects Joseph Rascon and Robert Odrain were safely removed and detained from inside the car. Officers located two firearms in the back seat, an AR-15 rifle and a pistol, loaded with extended magazines. Officers also found a significant amount of narcotics in the car trunk.

Suspects Joseph Rascon, 19-years old, and Robert Odrain, 26-years old, both from Santa Cruz County, were arrested on multiple felony gun and narcotics charges.

SCPD officers remain committed to addressing crimes and ensuring public safety by using a comprehensive strategy that includes proactive enforcement. Keep up the good work, officers!”
