Meth, cocaine, scale, and suspended license

“On April 27, 2022 at approx. 6:30 pm a deputy from the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Main St in Chester on a vehicle operated by Jayce Coulter, 36 years of age from Cottonwood, CA. It was determined Coulter was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and was arrested.

During an inventory of the vehicle, prior to it being impounded, deputies located a concealed handgun with the serial number partially obliterated, approximately half a pound of methamphetamine packaged for sales, cocaine, and a scale. It was determined Coulter is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Coulter was additionally charged with; prohibited person in possession of a firearm, possession of a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of controlled substance for sale, and transportation of a controlled substance. Coulter also was found to have three warrants for his arrest from Shasta County.

Coulter was transported to the Plumas County Correctional Center and held on $35,000 bail.

The case will be forward to the Plumas County District Attorney’s Office for review.”
