Miguel Urbina Pelaez arrested as fourth suspect in shooting death of Edwin Richard Ramirez Hernandez

Miguel Urbina Pelaez of Fullerton has been arrested as the fourth suspect in the 2020 gang-related shooting death of Edwin Richard Ramirez Hernandez of Anaheim.

The other three suspects, Jorge Loasco (28), Dominick Dakota Gilbert Sanchez (28), and Jacob Antunez (25)—all residents of Fullerton—were arrested in April 2021, eight months after the incident.  They are each being held at Orange County Jail.  Pelaez (21) was identified over the course of the next year of investigation and arrested without incident in Sun Valley on April 13, 2022.

The shooting took place near Bellevue Drive and Citron Street shortly after midnight on August 15, 2020.  Anaheim police arrived to find 28-year-old Edwin Richard Ramirez Hernandez, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene.  An additional man had been shot as well but survived his injuries.

A search warrant was served at Pelaez’s residence in the 2600 block of Milton Avenue in Fullerton.  Pelaez was booked for murder at the Anaheim Detention Facility.  His bail has been set at $1 million.
