Man nabbed for multiple alleged burglaries

“On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, a number of burglaries were reported in the area of Lewiston, CA.

Deputies were able to obtain video surveillance of the suspect and identify him by sight.

On two occasions the suspect was observed by witnesses, and law enforcement while an extensive search for the suspect was being conducted.

The first search was unsuccessful; however, the second led to the arrest of the suspect, who was identified as Nicholas Ryan Troehler.

Troehler was booked in the Trinity County Jail, where he is being charged with multiple counts of Burglary and Stolen Vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office believes that Troehler was responsible for four burglaries, but it is likely that he committed more. If you reside in the Lewiston area and note anything peculiar about your property, vehicles, or residence, the Sheriff’s Office would encourage you to report such matters by calling 530-623-8126.
