Body Armor and Firearms – Violent-Gang Task Force Arrests Outfitted Gang Members

DESERT HOT SPRINGS – Bullet-proof vests and a rifle were the results of an April 6th search warrant served on on local residents in the 66000 block of 6 Street. Coachella Valley Violent- Crime Gang Task Force Officers revealed a 12-gauge shotgun, .300 caliber rifle, multiple rounds of ammunition, 5 sets of body armor and two collapsible batons.

Four alleged crimes were slapped on the arrested convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member, Ronald Solarzano (42), for: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Felon in Possession of Body Armor and Possession of Collapsible Batons.

A second arrest nabbed convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member, Sandra Ponce, (58) of Desert Hot Springs. Ponce was arrested for: Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
