Fresno PD: Suspect in December 2021 liquor store robbery arrested

Fresno police have announced the arrest of a suspect in a recent liquor store robbery.

27-year-old Manuel Mojica was identified as one of the suspects in the alleged armed robbery of Latino Liquor on East Butler Avenue on December 4, 2021.

The clerk told responding officers that two men had entered the store, one of them armed with a handgun. The armed man approached the register and demanded cash, and allegedly fired a single round close to the clerk when the clerk tried to close the register. The two men then fled the store, police said.

Investigators identified Manuel Mojica as the armed man. He was located and taken into custody on January 19, 2022, and booked at the Fresno County Jail.
