Red Bluff police arrest hit-and-run suspects after high-speed pursuit

Red Bluff police recently arrested two people following an alleged hit-and-run and police pursuit.

Around 2 PM on January 8, police received a report of a hit-and-run collision in the Raley’s parking lot. The caller reportedly followed the suspect in their own car all the way to Wilcox Road, where the first responding officer was able to intervene.

At that point, the officer pursued the suspect vehicle along Wilcox Road, a pursuit that at times exceeded 60 MPH, police said. The pursuit ended when the vehicle became stuck in a wooded area. The driver, later identified as Kayla Hudges, and passenger, identified as Joshua Pennock, then fled scene on foot.

Although authorities did not initially locate the two, they returned after a resident reported noticing two unknown individuals in the area. At that point, Hudges and Pennock were taken into custody.
