Tulare County: Three arrested in connection to murder of Terra Bella man

Three people were arrested in Tulare County last month in connection to the murder of 58-year-old Douglas R. Cline, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Cline, of Terra Bella, was found dead in an orchard in the area of Avenue 80 and Road 264 on October 15. Deputies were soon able to identify the primary suspects as Jose Reyes (24), Jesus Manjarrez (23), and Dan Eli Perez (38).

Manjarrez and Perez were arrested soon thereafter following the serving of multiple search warrants, during which investigators discovered and confiscated a grenade launcher, twelve guns, nearly 30 magazines, about five ounces of suspected cocaine, half a pound of suspected heroin, and about three kilos of suspected fentanyl, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The two were later booked at the Tulare County jail on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

On November 18, detectives served another search warrant at a residence on the 200 block of Monterey Street in Bakersfield, where Reyes was believed to be hiding. Reyes was located and arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, the Sheriff’s Office said.
