Arrest for Assault on Parking Enforcement Officer

Arrest for Assault on Parking Enforcement Officer

A disturbance occurred on the afternoon of August 25th at the parking garage at 355 2nd Avenue.

A delivery driver got into it with a parking enforcement officer over a parking citation that was issued.

The driver had parked in  a handicapped parking spot without a placard allowing him to do so.

Then, the driver began “chasing the officer around the garage,” accompanied with threats against the officer.

At first, 38-year-old suspect John Boswell spoke with officers. But then he “became irritated and walked away.”

Boswell would not comply with the officers’ order to remain, and “physically resisted their efforts to detain him.”

The suspect was booked for resisting an officer and resisting arrest.
