“On July 7, 2021, Monterey Police Officers responded to a report of a past tense lewd and lascivious act involving an adult male and a minor. Through further investigation, Jin Jung, 48, of Monterey, was identified as the suspect in this case. On July 23, 2021, detectives served a search warrant on Jung’s residence and arrested him.
Jin Jung was booked at the Monterey City Jail on the following charges: California Penal Code (PC) 288(a)(1) – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor, and 647.6 PC – Annoying or Molesting a Child and his bail was set at $100,000.
The victim was known to Jung and detectives believe there may be more victims. The Monterey Police Department encourages anyone with information to contact Detective Dooley at (831) 646-3809.”
