Two catalytic converter thieves arrested in Corona

“On 7-17-2021, about 4:14 A.M., Corona Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washburn Circle regarding two suspects stealing catalytic converters from vehicles.

The owners of the business called the police after receiving alerts from their video surveillance system.

As officers arrived on the scene, the two suspects fled the location on foot and onto State Highway 91.

Both were arrested a short time later by Corona Police officers.

Derek Wolfe, 46 years old from Corona, was arrested for California Penal Codes 487(a), 466, 148(a)(1), and California Vehicle Code 10852. James Sanchez, 31 years old from Corona, was arrested for California Penal Codes 466, 182(a)(1), and a felony probation violation.”
