“On Friday, June 25, 2021, at approximately 1:00 a.m., deputies from the Wasco City Substation conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 500 block of D Street. Deputies detained the driver, William Sanchez (29-year-old male from Wasco), after he fled the vehicle into a nearby residence and a passenger, Louis Sanchez (26-year-old male from Wasco). During the investigation, deputies learned a firearm had been discarded from the vehicle. Deputies also detained Margarita Sanchez (51-year-old female from Wasco) for her involvement in the investigation.
William Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for several felony firearm offenses, participation in a criminal street gang, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. Louis Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for several felony firearm offenses, participation in a criminal street gang, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. Margarita Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for participation in a criminal street gang, conspiracy, child cruelty, and concealing evidence.
