“On May 29, 2023, deputies assigned to the North Area Substations of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant sweep within the town of Buttonwillow, City of Wasco,City of Shafter, and City of McFarland. During the operation, fourteen (14) subjects were arrested for various felony and misdemeanor violations which are as follows:

Jonathan Daniel Ramirez (age 34) of Buttonwillow, was taken into custody in the 4300 Block of Judd Street for possession of a stolen vehicle and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Jesse Cruz (age 65) of Shafter, was taken into custody in the 30700 Block of Martinez Street for an outstanding felony warrant.

Arthur Anthony Arellano (age 57) of Wasco, was taken into custody in the 700 Block of H Street for three (3) outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Lori Marie Ramirez (age 38) of Wasco, was taken into custody in the 700 Block of H Street for an outstanding felony warrantand two (2) outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Mintzie Monserat Sanchez (age 37) of Wasco, was taken into custody in the 900 Block of Birch Street for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Noel Eugene Armstrong (age 46) of Buttonwillow, was taken into custody in the 400 Block of Sudan Street for an outstanding felony warrant.

Joseph Castillo (age 37) of Wasco, was taken into custody near the intersection of F Street and 6th Street for an outstanding felony warrant.

Michael Figueroa (age 34) of Shafter, was taken into custody in the 30700 Block of Rodriguez Street for an outstandingmisdemeanor warrant.

David Manzo (age 40) of Wasco, was taken into custody in the 2300 Block of Oak Creek Court for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Nora Guadalupe Arevalo (age 41) of Shafter, was taken into custody in the 9500 Block of Mountain Peak Lane for two (2)outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Jamie Cherie Cottengim (age 46) of Buttonwillow, was taken into custody in the 400 block of Sudan Avenue for anoutstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Stephanie Villegas (age 33) of Wasco, was taken into custody in the 700 Block of H Street for three (3) outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Karen Perez (age 30) of McFarland, was taken into custody in the 300 Block of West Kern Street for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Blanca Chamale (age 38) of Shafter, was taken into custody in the 30700 Block of Martinez Street for three (3) outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

In addition to the above-listed arrests, deputies recovered a stolen vehicle reported to the Bakersfield Police Department under case 21-219580.

Jonathan Ramirez, Cruz, Arellano, Lori Ramirez, Sanchez, Armstrong, and Castillo were booked into the Central Receiving Facility.

Figueroa, Manzo, Arevalo, Cottengim, Villegas, Perez, and Chamale were cited and released pending a court hearing.”
