“On February 4, 2021, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations and Operations Units concluded an investigation with the arrest of two adults and the seizure of 20 pounds of methamphetamine.

During the investigation, Detectives identified Gessell Hernandez (age 22) from San Bernardino, California and Jonathan Perez-Garcia (age 26) from Reseda, California to be involved in the sales and trafficking of large quantities of methamphetamine.

Hernandez and Perez-Garcia were arrested in the 2200 block of Panama Lane in Bakersfield. Both subjects were booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility (CRF) jail for being in possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance, and conspiracy.

The methamphetamine seized has an estimated street value of $385,520.00.”
