Male Nurse Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Women at Providence Mission Hospital

A 56-year-old male registered nurse has been arrested for sexually assaulting at least three women in the hospital where he was employed.

The suspect, Paul Alden Miller of San Clemente, had been a registered nurse for about 6 years. Each of the assaults took place at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where Miller had worked from January 2017 to April 2021.

The first known victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported in March 2021 that “she was sexually assaulted by Miller while in the emergency room receiving medical care at Providence Mission Hospital,” states the release.  The following month, a 68-year-old woman reported that Miller had sexually assaulted her as well.  A 56-year-old woman came forward in June 2021 to report that she was sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Miller was arrested at about 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, and charged with sexual elder abuse and sexual battery.  He was booked into Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Miller was previously employed at El Centro Regional Medical Center from January 2016 to January 2017 as well as Sharp Hospital – Chula Vista, from December 2014 to May 2015.
