On 06/19/21, at 3:30 AM, Merced Police Department officers responded to the area of Freemark and Cardella Avenue for a suspicious vehicle inside a residential home development site. Officer Centeno located the vehicle and detained the occupants.

A witness observed Rodriguez and Garcia loading construction wood into the back of a pick-up truck.

The total loss from the theft was approximately $850. Thankfully, all the wood was recovered and returned to the job site. Rodriguez and Garcia were arrested and released on citations.
