“On May 17th at 3:45 a.m., Placer County Sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop at the Speedway gas station on Bowman Road, in North Auburn.

Deputies contacted the occupants in the car and observed in plain view a bong used to smoke methamphetamine. As deputies were speaking to the front seat passenger, they noticed he was trying to conceal a bag located on the floorboard. Deputies subsequently searched the bag and found more than seven ounces of methamphetamine. They also found a digital scale and a glass pipe in the vehicle.

The passenger, 43-year old Philip Bridges of Bakersfield, was arrested for possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia.”
