“On Friday, May 7th while on routine patrol officers apprehended the following suspects who were in possession of stolen property, burglary tools, and under the influence of controlled substances.

Robert Inacio of Oceano and Layla Reid of Nipomo, were found with two electric bicycles, a generator, and set of keys at the time of arrest. Mr. Inacio confessed to stealing the items from the North Beach Campground in Pismo Beach and from a vehicle in Arroyo Grande. The owner’s of the stolen items have been identified.

We want to highlight the excellent police work of our officers and neighboring agencies who worked with us on this incident. We also want to remind the public to keep your possessions locked up and out of sight when not in use. Additionally, to write down and keep in a safe place the serial numbers of electronics and other high value items. In the event that you experience a theft, having the serial numbers will assist police in easily identifying your items if located.”
