Man Attempts Sexual Assault of Student

San Luis Police officers are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a female Cal Poly student.

According to SLOPD, they received a report from the Cal Poly Police regarding a student who claimed she was sexually assaulted. The unidentified victim told police she was walking near Grand and Slack Streets on Saturday at around 1 a.m. when a white vehicle pulled up next to her.

She said the driver asked her if she was ok. Then, she said, the driver got out of the vehicle and assaulted her by grabbing her and pulling her towards his vehicle. The victim also stated the suspect kissed her on the neck while he had control of her.

The victim broke free and ran away. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties with short black hair and an earring in his left ear. The suspect’s vehicle was described as being either a Honda or Mazda sedan
