Sheriffs Discover Three Marijuana Grow Sites

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit investigators discovered three different marijuana grow sites on Thursday near Nacimiento Lake.

According to SLO sheriff’s, they worked alongside agents from the Department of Justice and CAMP (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting) in a three-week investigation into a cultivation operation.

Investigators say three different grow sites were located in the Lime Mountain area, West of Nacimiento Lake. They confiscated 22,400 marijuana plants and found several large campsites along with 10 five-gallon propane tanks, eight car batteries and numerous containers of pesticides and fertilizer.

Investigators say they also discovered 9mm ammunition and two empty gun holsters. The marijuana was legally destroyed. According to SLO sheriff’s, the investigation is continuing based on evidence found at the campsites and no arrests have been made at this time.
