Our deputies face dangerous and risky situations each day, and this traffic stop is just another example of that.

On May 9th at 4 p.m., Placer County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Industrial Avenue, in Rocklin. Deputies contacted the two suspects in the car and were given false names.

Through an investigation, deputies identified the driver as 28-year old Charlene Clark of Isleton, and the passenger as 36-year old Michael Serrano of Sacramento, who had an outstanding Sacramento County felony warrant. A search of Clark’s purse turned up a loaded Taurus PT 145 pistol. Deputies also searched Clark’s person and found two baggies of methamphetamine.

Both Clark and Serrano were arrested for providing false identification to a peace officer. Clark was also arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a loaded and concealed firearm in public, and possession of a controlled substance. Serrano was additionally arrested for his warrant.
