Two Vehicle Pursuits on March 21st lead to two arrests

“On March 21, 2021 at approximately 12:32 am, a Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol in the 1300 block of Geneva Street.
While on patrol the SCSO deputy noticed a motorcycle driving recklessly. The motorcycle attempted to evade, and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit ended near the Fifth Street Bridge where the driver of the motorcycle became stuck in the mud, so he foot bailed.
He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The suspect was identified as 43-year-old, Marysville resident, Lamont Keller and was arrested for the pursuit charges as well as other charges.
On March 21, 2021 at approximately 1:23 am, a Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputy was getting fuel when they observed a vehicle parked a local business.
The Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputy could see the driver smoking from what appeared to be a methamphetamine pipe.
When the Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make contact, the driver fled in the vehicle. A pursuit was initiated near Garden Highway.
With the assistance of CHP and the use of a spike strip, the suspect yielded and was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as 27-year-old, Yuba City resident, Alexander Gallup. Gallup was arrested for the pursuit and other charges.
