“On January 27, 2021, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the Electric Monitoring Program (EMP), conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck in the area of Oswell Street and Highway 58.

The vehicle was stopped for violating California Vehicle Codes. The vehicle was occupied by two adult males, and the driver was found to be an unlicensed driver.

Further investigations revealed 40 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in the rear passenger compartment of the vehicle.

Benjamin Aguilar-Morales, age (31) and Jose Bautista-Arias, age (36), both Riverside, California residents, were arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for possession and transporting a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and conspiracy.”
