A convicted felon with an outstanding warrant has been arrested after a gun and paraphernalia were reportedly found in his car during a traffic stop.

On July 27th, Placer County deputies pulled over 32-year-old Dontae McDaniel of San Francisco, who was already on bail out of Santa Clara County and had an outstanding warrant out of Placer County for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon searching McDaniel’s car, deputies say they found syringes in the driver’s side door and a glass pipe behind the passenger seat, as well as a loaded revolver in the trunk.

McDaniel was ultimately arrested on his warrant and on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, committing a felony while out on bail, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
