The Grass Valley Police Department, thanks to a video, were able to identify and arrest a vandalism suspect in this story posted on their official Facebook page-

“On the night of Wednesday, July 29, an individual threw a rock at the police department lobby door shattering the glass door, causing damage to interior equipment, and breaking a second large window.

Department video cameras captured the event. Over the following days, Officers and Detectives worked to identify and locate the suspect.

They were able to find video from a retail establishment in Grass Valley showing the suspect make a purchase a short time before the vandalism occurred.

With this, they were able to identify him. On Friday evening, Officers located and arrested ADAM COCKRELL. He has been booked at the Nevada County Jail for felony vandalism.

Repairs to the lobby will be complete soon and we will once again be open for walk-in service. Until then….
