A Sacramento man was arrested in Folsom earlier this month after various narcotics were allegedly found in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

The week before last, a police officer pulled over 28-year-old Eri Velazquez on the west side of Folsom due to expired registration and other vehicle code violations.

As the officer spoke with Velazquez, he reportedly noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, as well as a visible joint and loose marijuana — essentially the marijuana equivalent of an open alcohol container — thus providing grounds to search the vehicle.

Upon searching, the officer discovered a duffel bag containing baggies of marijuana, concentrated cannabis, cocaine, and a scale, as well as methamphetamine, Xanax pills, and acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate pills.

Velazquez was arrested on several drug-related charges and booked at the Sacramento County main jail.
