Drunken trio arrested after allegedly discharging firearm

“On May 27th, 2020 at approximately 12:12 A.M., Redding Police Officers were dispatched to two separate calls of possible shots fired in the area of North Market Street and another from Continental Street.

Officer McGinnis quickly located three male subjects walking in the area. He and Officer Corrigan interviewed the subjects who were identified as Max Killingsworth 24 years of Redding, Keith Staudinger 25 years of American Canyon, and Nickolas Nowling 24 years of Napa.

Killingsworth told Officers they were walking home after drinking at an unknown bar to avoid a DUI when they decided to shoot multiple rounds from the Market Street bridge into the river.

Officers discovered O/Killingsworth was carrying a concealed glock Semi-automatic 9 mm pistol. He was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and public intoxication.

Keith Staudinger was carrying a concealed High Point compact 9 mm pistol. He was also arrested for carrying a concealed firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and public intoxication.

Nickolas Nowling was arrested for public intoxication, providing false information to a Peace Officer, possession of drugs (Acid), and a felony warrant out of Napa County.”
