“On June 2, 2020, at 10:20 PM, Solano Area California Highway Patrol Officers, Officer Barday and Officer Shaw, monitored a Solano County Sheriff’s Department radio broadcast for a murder suspect from the Sacramento Area.

The broadcast was for a white Chevrolet Aveo that was involved in a murder (187 PC) that occurred in South Sacramento, on Interstate 5 at 43rd Street. While sweeping their beat, the officers overshot a white vehicle similar to the one from the broadcast on Interstate 80 westbound, east of Alamo Drive.

The officers exited the freeway to turn back around and check on the vehicle. While turning to check the vehicle, they observed a suspect walking on Alamo Drive matching the description from the broadcast.

Not knowing if the vehicle was a match, they continued to the vehicle, making a mental note of the suspect. Upon arriving at the vehicle, the officers confirmed it to be the vehicle from the broadcast and a perimeter was quickly set up.

With the assistance of the Vacaville Police Department, the suspect was quickly located on Alamo Drive and taken into custody.”
