Pair arrested in fatal San Jose stabbing

San Jose – A stabbing occurred on the evening of May 17 in the 400 block of N. Capital Avenue.

Arriving officers came upon two male victims, each stabbed at least one time.

One of the victims, 51-year-old Frank Ibarra, died at the hospital. The other victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was released after treatment.

Investigating detectives identified two people as the suspects in the crime – 23-year-old Miguel Gomez-Vasquez and 23-year-old Liliana Frausto.

The pair were arrested on May 28 – Vasquez on a murder warrant and Frausto on an accessory after the fact warrant.

They were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
